Surfing is one of my favorite sports since I moved to San Diego over 20 years ago. I love the funny nuances of surf culture and the athletic challenge of riding waves generated by the energy of the earth. There's something truly magical, fun, and calming about riding glassy waves — and it sounds less cheesy after you've actually done it.
My favorite local surf spots are in Cardiff, California — about 20 minutes up the road from my house in North Park. The rocky reefs of Traps and Pipes have a great vibe: glassy, consistent, long-period waves that are perfect for longboarding and just enjoying a session without charging.
We've also been loving trips down to Sayulita Mexico and its neighboring breaks at La Lancha and Punta Burros. Warm water, good vibes, fun approachable swell — there's a reason people call this zone the "Mexican Malibu." The food is exceptional, the people are genuinely welcoming, and cruising around the town on foot feels like life is supposed to feel.
These surf trips are the direct inspiration behind our surf t-shirt designs. Whether it's Board Meeting — celebrating the Sprinter van co-work lifestyle and doing business on your own ridiculous terms — or the Party Wave Sayulita edition for those buena onda Mexico adventures. We hope you love our evolving lineup of surf shirts.
If you want to catch some waves or collaborate on a new design, hit me up. Always down to surf.
Yours in stoke,
Jeremy Curran — Stoked Clothing Company
