Moab is a uniquely epic mountain bike destination — out-of-this-world red rock topography that looks like Mars with a trail system built for every skill level. My wife and I make it out to mountain biking in Moab at least once a year, and we always find something new to shred.
Top Mountain Bike Trails in Moab
Slick Rock Trail — 12 miles of pure rock riding. Entire trail is solid sandstone, which gives you traction on grades that would be impossible in any other terrain. Certain sections look like perfect natural ramps. A must-ride for anyone visiting Moab.
The Whole Enchilada — 34 miles of epic downhill, descending 7,700 feet along the Colorado River basin. Almost every terrain type Moab has to offer in one long shuttle run. Ride it on a weekday if you can — hordes of stokers shuttle this trail and it gets busy.
HyMasa to Captain Ahab — 9+ mile loop of stunning singletrack. Challenging climbs, red rock vistas at every turn, and technical descents that will test your skills. One of the best loop rides in Moab.
Why We Keep Coming Back
Moab looks like nothing else in North America. Massive red rock boulders, wide river corridors, scenery that legitimately stops you mid-ride. Beyond the MTB trails, it's world-class for dirt biking, Jeeping, and UTV adventures too — I've ridden both the MTB and KTM 500 EXC here and they're completely different experiences on the same terrain.
These experiences are directly behind our mountain bike and adventure t-shirt designs. If you ever want to shred some red rock, drop me a line and let's plan a trip.
Yours in being stoked on Moab,
Jeremy Curran — Stoked Clothing Company
