Greer Ranch Mountain Biking: San Diego's Best Enduro Trails (Distortion, Overdrive & More)

Why Greer Ranch Has Become One of Our Favorite Trail Networks

My wife Andrea and I have been riding Greer Ranch more and more lately — just north of Temecula, CA, about an hour from San Diego. We used to default to Cleveland National Forest because I grew up riding similar pine forest trails around Bass Lake. But Greer Ranch has become a go-to for us, and for good reason.

The singletrack up into the primary trails — Distortion and Overdrive — is flowy and approachable on the way up, without being so mellow that it bores experienced riders. The downhill sections are seriously challenging but not overwhelming if you're a solid mountain biker. The Enduro-style build: fast berms, jump lines, drops, and rock gardens that force you to ride better each session.

What Makes Greer Ranch Enduro Trails Unique

The progression here is real. Features and jump lines that look intimidating the first time through feel manageable after a few laps, and your riding noticeably improves. Andrea's riding has progressed significantly here — getting back into it after having kids and building confidence on increasingly technical terrain. Watching that progression is genuinely awesome.

I was initially hesitant about the hour-plus drive from North Park, San Diego to the Greer Ranch trailhead. It's no longer a hesitation. Sessions like these are directly behind our mountain bike t-shirt and adventure apparel designs — the #GetRad series and the broader Stoked Clothing lineup started from rides exactly like this.

If you're in San Diego and want to shred some excellent enduro trails, hit me up. We're always looking to make new riding friends and explore great trails.

Yours in shredding singletrack,
