Just back from the first Outdoor Retailer trade show since the start of the pandemic in Denver, CO. The show ran at about 25% normal size, but it was genuinely great to see who showed up through the tail end of COVID.
Since I road-tripped out, I loaded up the Santa Cruz Bronson mountain bike, paddle board, and the KTM 500 EXC. Spent time in some beautiful mountain towns along the way — Salida, CO, Buena Vista, CO, and the Gunnison/Crested Butte singletrack corridors. Always looking for hero dirt and endless mountain singletrack.
First Ride with the Skydio 2
This was also my first real expedition with the Skydio 2 autonomous follow drone. Barely knew how to use it at the time, but you can already see the potential in the footage. The Skydio tracks and follows autonomously, avoids obstacles, and gets angles that would normally require a dedicated camera operator. The future of adventure film just got a lot more accessible.
These trips and the footage I capture on them are the direct inspiration for our mountain bike and adventure t-shirt designs. Watch the short film below — and if you ever want to hit these trails together, drop me a line.
