Mountain Bike T-Shirts: 20 Years of Singletrack Adventures Behind Every Design

I started riding mountain bikes at 26, fresh back from two years in the United States Peace Corps in Nicaragua. I moved to Boulder, Colorado, to work and spend time with my cousin Grant while he finished at CU Boulder. It was in Boulder County that I learned to love singletrack — desperately trying to keep up with Grant and his mutant Colorado friends every afternoon at Chautauqua.

I rode my original Diamondback Topanga for the next 7-8 years until I loved it to death. Living in San Diego and running my own businesses has given me the flexibility to ride some of the best singletrack the American West has to offer — from Noble Canyon and Big Laguna just outside San Diego, to the red rock mecca of Sedona, to my not-so-famous but genuinely excellent hometown trails at Bass Lake, CA.

The MTB Honeymoon Road Trip

Andrea and I did a singletrack adventure honeymoon — van camping and riding through some of the best mountain towns in North America: Jackson Hole, Wyoming → Squamish, British Columbia → Whistler Mountain Bike Park → Bend, Oregon → Lake Tahoe → Downieville Shuttle Run. That trip, plus annual runs through Crested Butte and Jackson for the Outdoor Retailer show, is what built the riding foundation behind our mountain bike t-shirt and E-MTB apparel designs.

The designs emphasize the fun, playful side of riding these light, full-suspension machines all over the western USA. And as mountain biking has evolved — including the rise of E-MTB — so have the shirts. If you love singletrack and the culture around it, you'll find designs here that feel like they came from real rides. Because they did.

If you have a rad photo or ride story that could inspire a design, we'd love to hear from you.

Yours in singletrack stoke,

Jeremy Curran — Stoked Clothing Company
