I’ve been riding mountain bikes for over 20 years — from Mammoth to Tahoe, from Jackson Hole to the backwoods of SoCal — chasing flow, chasing speed, and chasing that perfect trail day. But after two decades of grinding fire roads and pedal-powered sufferfests, I took a calculated risk...

On a family trip to Bentonville, Arkansas — the mountain bike capital of the freakin’ world — I demo’d a Specialized Turbo Levo “just for the week.”

Huge mistake.
Huge upgrade.
Huge life pivot.

By the end of that trip, I wasn’t just stoked…
I was converted.
I came home with two Turbo Levos — one for me, one for my wife Andrea — and we never looked back.

E-MTBs didn’t replace our love of mountain biking — they re-ignited it.

We’re in our early 50s now, and we’re riding harder, farther, and with bigger smiles than we did in our 20s. And the best part? These bikes even let us tow the kids up the climbs so Kyler and Riley get more laps and progress faster than we ever imagined. It’s become the most fun family sport we’ve ever shared.
